You, as your online voice over talent business, must think about things that a voice talent usually had arranged for them by agents, casting directors, managers, or studios:
- Sound engineering skills
- Computer skills – basic and advanced
- Communication/writing/people skills
- Business/entrepreneurial skills – Thinking big leading to big results
- Voice over copy reading skills – Being your own director
Granted, numbers 3, 4, and 5, were always required for this industry. Now, they just have to be translated into an online environment that is more honest and transparent.
